Still Kicking, football-based fitness programme for women, continues to run on a Thursday evening between 7-8pm. Still Kicking combines football skills, drills, fitness and fun and is open to everyone regardless of football ability or experience. Monday Walking Football sessions are on Mondays at The Academy from 12-1pm. Walking Football is a great way to take part in low impact physical activity helping you to stay fit and healthy and great a way to meet people. Sessions are free of charge. You can find out more from Garry:


Connections Para Football takes place on a Thursday morning and afternoon. Connections welcomes players who experience challenges like physical and learning difficulties, poor mental health and beyond. Sessions are skill and fitness-focused in a fun, social atmosphere. The best way to get involved in Walking Football or Connections is to contact Garry:


The Strachan Football Development course for school leavers aged 16-19 years will start for the new college term in Autumn 2022. This course runs in partnership with Edinburgh College and allows students to build on their passion for football. Learners work towards a National Certificate in Sport and Fitness, improve skills, game-play and fitness and gain valuable experience in areas such as coaching, youth work and sports facility management and maintenance. Our youth work clubs and activities run throughout the week and we have holiday programmes during the school breaks. Our clubs are free of charge and include a meal/snack. If you’d like to find out more email:

Street Football 

Community Pitch every day after school – come along and play football on the pitch. You’ll need moulded boots but if you don’t have any, don’t worry you can borrow them from our boot bank. For ages up to 18 years.
