West Granton Community Trust operating at The Prentice Centre.
The Prentice Centre Community Hub operated by the West Granton Community Trust is a vibrant community hub, based at 1 Granton Mains Avenue here in Edinburgh. The trust has provided support to the local community for the past 27 years and is a registered charity SC017875.
The aim of the charity is to provide a wide range of support services which contribute to the health and well being of the community by facilitating; educational, recreational and socially inclusive activities for people living in the Granton, Pilton, Muirhouse, Salveson and Drylaw areas of Edinburgh, however, people from other areas of the city are also most welcome to come along.
The Centre runs a varied and exciting programme of events which is constantly being added to.
These include weekly:
- Zumba Gold Classes
- Line dancing Groups
- Art Group
- Scottish Culture and Comedy groups
- Dance Base classes
- Over 50’s Club
The Centre also provides office space for other charities including Capital Carers and Leonard Cheshire, and offers rental and room hire for other community groups and members of the public.
